My final spiel before disuniting from the Eagle Eye and TASD

By Ron Greene

Growing up in Tyrone withholds pros as well as cons. The activities you see day to day are life changing, as I assume any hometown could/should be. If you read the Daily Herald, you’re probably following this. Tyrone is extremely active with drugs, and being a teenager makes for a much more strenuous decision. Teenagers are very prone to following influences from their friends, music preferences, and the “in” crowd. Personally I’ve never fell victim to peer pressure or ever once believed anything that I haven’t experienced for myself. Some call that stubborn, I call it aware…and I’m aware that I practically know nothing, which is even more incentive to learn more. Tyrone is jam-packed with great people, people who would drop on a dime to give a stranger a helping hand. But with good there is always bad, and as some people generously give, selfish others take everything they can.

Luckily I chose a great group of friends. I can honestly say they are a truly irreplaceable crew. Each has their own unique personality; it’s the perfect blend of diversity. Caleb- Intelligence, Shawn- Discipline, Josh- Modesty, Ryan- Wisdom. Anytime I have ever had a situation I was overwhelmed with, they always were eager to give a helping hand.

Although I have been given most material items from my parents, I have gained a lot of my overall knowledge from day-to-day activities, paying close attention to my friends and surrounding peers, as well as teachers around me. I take in what I see, and put out what I feel.
