138 students are currently enrolled in the Eagle Inn program this school year. All aspects of The Eagle Inn are covered with a focus on “hands on” training. The Eagle Inn classroom is now downstairs which once was an electronics lab was.
The Eagle Inn currently serves about 200-300 meals a week. Food is made by the students. All the food is delivered on take-out days, served during Eagle Inn days, and is available on deli/bakery days.
The menus are emailed to staff one to two days before the Eagle Inn is open. The Eagle Inn offers sit down service or delivery/take out.
“Their e-mail is what I look forward to the most,” Mrs. Shaffer, special education paraprofessional, stated.
Deli and bakery specials are typically sent out one month advance to the holiday.
If tips are received they are deposited in a savings account and shared with all students at the end of the school year.
“I love the restaurant. You can’t beat her food and prices,” Mrs. Anderson, learning support teacher, commented.
The faculty and staff can agree that their favorite foods from the Eagle Inn are the chocolate passion and roast beef.
