Q & A with Miss. Pohlman, Mr. Chamberlain’s student teacher

Q: What teacher are you the student teacher for?
A: Mrs. Chamberlin.

Q: What subject are you teaching?
A: Science and language arts.

Q: What college do you attend?
A: Penn State, University Park.

Q: What are you majoring in?
A: Elementary education with a minor in special education.

Q: When are you graduating?
A: May 2012.

Q: Why did you choose to become a teacher?
A: It had to do a lot with having little sisters and wanting to teach them and also my summer job working with kids.

Q: Did you get to choose to student teach at Tyrone?
A: No, it was chosen for me.

Q: Do you enjoy teaching here? Why?
A: Yes, It’s a great community, and there is a great staff here.

Q: Would you work at Tyrone if you got the chance?
A: Yes, definitely.

Q: What is your favorite part of the day? Why?
A: Language arts because I like reading and just English in general.

Q: What is your least favorite part of the day? Why?
A: Transitioning classes.

Q: Do you have a favorite period? Which one and why?
A: No, I enjoy all of my classes. All of my students are different.

Q: Who inspired you to become a teacher?
A: Good teachers and professors, also wanting to be a mentor.

Q: Where did you graduate from high school?
A: Bermudian Springs.

Q: Did you play any sports in high school? If so what?
A: No, but I was in concert band, art and National Honors Society.

Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Attending Penn State football games, doing anything outdoors and spending time with friends and family.

Q: What is your favorite subject?
A: Language arts.

Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: “Sweet Home Alabama.”

Q: What kind of music do you like?
A: Country.

Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Stuffed shells.
