Song of the week: “Stand”

By Sadie Jackson

This week’s song is “Stand” by Rascal Flatts.

I really like this song and the meaning behind the lyrics.

Like in every song, the listener interprets the meaning completely differently than the person next to them.

“Cause when push comes to shove
You taste what you're made of
You might bend, till you break
Cause it’s all you can take
On your knees you look up
Decide you've had enough
You get mad you get strong
Wipe your hands shake it off
Then you Stand, Then you stand”

For me, these lyrics are talking all about getting back on your feet after being upset—emotionally, mentally or physically.
When I’m having a bad day I listen to this song and try to take the meaning to heart.
