Four candidates Grand Old Party or GOP has been to seven states for primary and caucus elections: Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, and Ron Paul.
Mitt Romney, former governor of Massachusetts, has a knack for business, which would give President Barrack Obama a dangerous opponent. Romney supports a fundamental redesign of the current U.S. tax system. He sees the importance of a union for work systems but wants to protect the workers they serve.
Rick Santorum, former senator of Pennsylvania, is the true conservative and is criticized for his beliefs. Santorum has been caught in an anti-gay scandal and saying “No” to women and gays in the military. Santorum supports Planned Parenthood and Right to Bare-Arms.
Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House, has been out of mainstream politics for the past thirteen years. He has battled criticism from his statements on Medicare and his ex-wife. Gingrich supports smaller government, healthy security system, and efficient visa system.
Ron Paul, U.S. Representative from the state of Texas, is the oldest candidate and campaigns on liberty, human rights and financial reforms.
None of these popular candidates’ are going to win my vote unless they prove that they have the right characteristics to become president. The only good thing each candidate does now is argue with one another. We need a president that knows the problems of the United States and has an idea of how to solve or compromise with the other side: Democrat or Republican.
