The Pole (SYATP) got rained out. SYATP is a time that the Christians at schools and or workplaces pray for peers.
This year’s theme was Converge, and the verse was, “Whenever two or three of you come together in my name I am there with you,” Matthew 18:20.
The turnout for TASD is usually about twenty students and four to five adults. This year was smaller than usual with only three students and three teachers, and it got rained out.
Rebecca Fry, senior, who lead SYATP this year said, “I liked leading See You At The Pole because it was a good experience for
me to be able to share my faith with other believers.”
Fry has been attending SYATP for seven years now; her
first year was her 6th grade year.
Kelly Moore, senior, also attended SYATP this year and she has been attending for five years now.
Mr. Small, ISS supervisor, attended the event. He found out about SYATP the summer before his senior year of high school by attending a youth rally where Jim Kilmartin spoke to the entire group about it.
Small usually holds a youth rally before the event. This year he did not and he feels that the rally needs to have one for next year’s SYATP.
