Jessica Grazier was offered a
position as the ISS teacher, after six years of working with the retired Paula
Binus. In this position she must supervise the students who receive ISS and
make sure they complete all of their assignments.
Besides
this position, Grazier was also offered to take over as a study hall teacher
for all seven periods of the day.
“Working
in this position is definitely different from working in the culinary arts
position,” Grazier stated, “These kids have to be treated differently and with
much respect in order to gain it from them as well.”
Grazier
feels obligated to help her students in any way she can so that they are able
to get a better understanding of school in order to succeed.
“This
offer seemed like a challenge to me at first.” Grazier declared, “But in the
end I knew that I had to accept it for the betterment of the kids who will
enter my classroom.”
