Some Tyrone students captivated over the fifth season of Jersey Shore

Since 2009, some teenagers have been obsessed with a new show on MTV.

In this show, a group of people live together for a summer and get to know each other. At first these people didn’t know each other, but over the past four seasons of this show, they have become what some would call family. Over the past four seasons though, it hasn’t been all fun and games. There have been numerous fights and “hook ups”.

In the past four seasons, the show has produced numerous products, sayings, and attitudes for teenage viewers to incorporate into their everyday lives and has become one of the most popular shows today.

This show is the one and only Jersey Shore.

Many students here at Tyrone have become familiar with the show. From quoting the cast members to trying to dress like them, some students at Tyrone have fallen in love with Jersey Shore.

Macey Lucas, senior, is an avid Jersey Shore viewer.

“I like the craziness the most. I like how their lives are so different than anything I’ve pretty much ever saw before and its very interesting,” Lucas said.

Lucas’ favorite cast member is Sammi Sweetheart, because she believes she is the most real of all of the other roommates and Lucas can see a lot of similarities between herself and Sammi.

Junior, Kristin Bonsell, also enjoys watching Jersey Shore.

“I really like Snooki because of how funny she is. I like the show overall because of how intriguing it is,” Bonsell said.

Jersey Shore isn’t just for the ladies either. Justin Miller, senior, also watches Jersey Shore quite often.

“What I like most about it is easily the mass amounts of fun they have and how they do what they want,” Miller said.

“My favorite cast member is Pauly D. He’s fly and has a great personality,” Miller said.

Jersey Shore airs Thursday nights at 10:00p.m. on MTV.
